Apple Pie Liqueur

We all love Apple Pie but they are time consuming to make. Not to worry, we think we have found the perfect solution!

Ingredients:

  • 500ml Vodka
  • 4 Granny Smith apples sliced
  • 3 Cinnamon sticks
  • 250ml Water
  • 80g White sugar

Slow Method:

  1. Core and slice the apples and add to a 1l Kilner Jar.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Put into a cool dark place and leave for 3 weeks.
  4. Shake the jar every day until the sugar has dissolved
  5. Strain into a clean bottle and test for taste. Add extra sugar if needed.
  6. Enjoy your Apple Pie Liqueur

Fast Method:

  1. Core and slice the apples and add to a 1l Kilner Jar.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Put into a water bath at 65°C for 3 hours.
  4. Strain into a clean bottle and test for taste. Add extra sugar if needed.
  5. Enjoy your Apple Pie Liqueur

Mark’s Top Tip: Try substituting the Vodka for Gin, Rum, or Brandy. Mix up the spices, try adding cloves, star anise or nutmeg and/or add a handful of sultanas.
