We all love Apple Pie but they are time consuming to make. Not to worry, we think we have found the perfect solution!
Ingredients:
- 500ml Vodka
- 4 Granny Smith apples sliced
- 3 Cinnamon sticks
- 250ml Water
- 80g White sugar
Slow Method:
- Core and slice the apples and add to a 1l Kilner Jar.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Put into a cool dark place and leave for 3 weeks.
- Shake the jar every day until the sugar has dissolved
- Strain into a clean bottle and test for taste. Add extra sugar if needed.
- Enjoy your Apple Pie Liqueur
Fast Method:
- Core and slice the apples and add to a 1l Kilner Jar.
- Add the remaining ingredients.
- Put into a water bath at 65°C for 3 hours.
- Strain into a clean bottle and test for taste. Add extra sugar if needed.
- Enjoy your Apple Pie Liqueur
Mark’s Top Tip: Try substituting the Vodka for Gin, Rum, or Brandy. Mix up the spices, try adding cloves, star anise or nutmeg and/or add a handful of sultanas.
